The Swiss Holding Home Instead AG acquired the master franchise rights from Home Instead Netherlands
In October 2020, The Swiss Holding Home Instead AG has acquired the master franchise rights from Home Instead Netherlands through the acquisition of the shares of Arcentier BV. The acquisition is in line with the acquisitions of master franchise rights in Ireland and France with the aim of building a reputable European company in non-medical home care.
Orange Corporate Finance acted as advisor to the seller during the transaction process.
The Home Instead Senior Care franchise concept was created in 1994 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Home Instead Inc. has grown into an organisation with more than 1,000 franchisees and sales of over USD 1 billion. This makes Home Instead the world’s largest non-medical service provider to seniors. Care is provided by approximately 65,000 so-called CAREGivers, the care providers.
At the end of 2011, the concept was introduced in the Netherlands by the name “Home Instead Thuisservice” to meet the growing need of seniors for individual, customised services in order to stay at home for as long as possible. In 2020, Home Instead operated from 37 branches in the Netherlands.
Worldwide, Home Instead works closely with Alzheimer’s Disease International in the field of knowledge development for Alzheimer’s / dementia counseling.
Home Instead Senior Care is an active member of the World Economic Forum as a member of the Global Health and Healthcare Partnership Community.
