Carve-out RAP-care – SGL Foundation
In August 2013 the SGL Foundation took over part of RAP care.
RAP care is a small-scale rehabilitation clinic for people who, as a result of an illness, disorder, a misunderstood physical complaint or an accident, are hampered in their functioning, which prevents them from participating optimally in social life. The RAP care locations can be found in Heerlen, Brunssum, Kerkrade and Maastricht.
SGL helps people with brain injuries to progress in their own way, in order to live as independent a life as possible and to participate actively in society. SGL particularly aims at people with (non-born) brain damage in the phase after hospitalisation or rehabilitation.
SGL is based in Limburg and offers various treatments, counselling, activities, training and housing facilities for people with brain damage, but is also ready to provide care for clients’ caregivers. It employs over 500 staff and almost 400 volunteers who support about 1,400 clients.
